I have a friend who's husband is serving in Iraq right now. His name is Tyler Adams. He's located near a city named Mosul. The Christians of the city are being threatened to leave or be killed. An announcement about this is being played through the speakers that surround the Mosques. The Christians have been fleeing to a neighboring city named Bartolla. It is a city filled with hope, love and gratitude. But recently, Tyler has been noticing a change in the people there. There are multiple families per household and they are running out of food, clothing and medical supplies. They have nothing. The families that live in Bartolla who have opened up their homes to many were broke to begin with. It's a bad situation. Tyler wrote his wife, Kelly, asking if she knew of anyone who could send things. Toiletries, clothes for children, non-perishable food items, even crayons and sheets of paper for the kids...ANYTHING!! Here is a link to her blog which explains the whole situation... http://tkadams03.blogspot.com/ The cheapest way to go would be to use the flat rate boxes to ship things in. It doesn't matter how much it weighs, you can fit whatever you can into the box for a flat rate. I believe it's $10.95 for the largest flat rate box. ANYTHING you could send would help. Even adult men and women's clothing you don't wear anymore. As I've been reading more about these wonderful people, I have such strong feelings of love for them and want to help them in any way I can. Thank you for any help you might be able to offer them!! Here is Tyler's address to send the packages to...
